SAD questions recruitment committee formed by Sri Akal Takht Sahib

Chandigarh: The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) working committee has raised concerns over the recruitment committee formed by Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

SAD spokesperson Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema questioned its legitimacy during a press conference in Chandigarh following a committee meeting.

Cheema alleged that two members, Harjinder Singh Dhami and Prof. Rajesh Dhami, had been arrested, while Kirpal Singh had resigned. He claimed that others in the committee were acting under Delhi’s influence and that the recruitment process set to begin on Tuesday was flawed.

Highlighting issues with the recruitment form, Cheema said it did not mention the party’s name properly.

While “Akali Dal” was mentioned once, he questioned when and where the party was registered.

He also pointed out that the form referenced a five-member committee, whereas the Akali Dal had formed a seven-member panel.

Cheema further questioned the absence of addresses and phone numbers on the form, asking how recruitments could be conducted without proper contact details.
