Trump administration drafts travel ban list for 43 countries: Report

Washington: The Trump administration has reportedly prepared a list of 43 countries facing potential travel bans, according to The New York Times. The list is divided into three categories based on the severity of restrictions, with Afghanistan, Iran, and North Korea among the 11 nations on the strictest “Red List.”

Pakistan and Russia are among 10 countries placed on the “Orange List,” where travel restrictions will be tight but not absolute. Wealthy businessmen may still enter the US after an interview, but immigrant and tourist visa applicants will be denied entry.

The “Yellow List” includes 22 countries such as Zimbabwe and Vanuatu. These nations have been given 60 days to address security concerns, including information sharing and passport security. Failure to comply could result in their inclusion in the stricter categories.

The report comes amid speculation that Trump is intensifying immigration policies and considering broader travel bans.
