BJP leader files motion against Kunal Kamra, Sushma Andhare
Mumbai: BJP Legislative Council member Pravin Darekar on Wednesday filed a notice of motion against stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra and Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Sushma Andhare, alleging that they had insulted the dignity of legislative bodies.
Darekar accused Kamra of presenting a song with personal and derogatory references to Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. He also alleged that Andhare supported the protest and used objectionable language, which he claimed was an insult to the House.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena MLA Ramesh Bornare filed a notice of motion against Andhare for allegedly mocking Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in the Maharashtra Assembly.
Sanjay Kelkar, who was conducting the proceedings, said Speaker Rahul Narvekar would decide on the notice.
