Mumbai Police issues second notice to Kunal Kamra over remarks against Eknath Shinde

Chandigarh: The Mumbai Police has issued a second notice to stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra in connection with a case related to his alleged derogatory remarks against Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Officials said Kamra, 36, has been asked to appear before the investigating officer at Khar police station. However, the exact date for his questioning remains unclear. The case was registered based on a complaint by Shiv Sena MLA Murji Patel.

Earlier, the police had issued the first notice on Tuesday, asking Kamra to appear for proceedings in the defamation case.

According to sources, Kamra had requested a week’s time to comply with the notice.
