SGPC presents Rs 1,386 crore budget for 2025-26, 10% higher than last year
Amritsar: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) began its annual budget session on Friday, presenting a proposed budget of Rs 1,386.47 crore for the financial year 2025-26. The budget is 10% higher than the previous year.
SGPC general secretary Sher Singh Mandwala presented the budget, stating that the estimated expenditure for the year would be Rs 1,376.47 crore, which is Rs 10 crore less than the projected income.
The session commenced with prayers at Teja Singh Samundri Hall in Sri Darbar Sahib. During the session, the SGPC approved the formulation of rules regarding the appointment, qualifications, responsibilities, and retirement of Jathedars of the Takhts.
A high-level committee will be constituted to oversee this process.
