Kash Patel removed as ATF director, replaced by Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll
Washington: Kash Patel has been removed from his position as the Executive Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), a Justice Department official confirmed.
Patel, who assumed charge of the ATF just days after being sworn in as the FBI Director in February, will be replaced by US Military Secretary Daniel Driscoll.
The reason for the reshuffle has not been made public.
