Congress to protest outside ED offices nationwide on April 16
New Delhi: The Congress party will stage nationwide protests outside Enforcement Directorate (ED) offices on April 16, opposing what it described as “mala fide” actions against party leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
Congress leader K C Venugopal said the move comes in response to the alleged misuse of central agencies by the government.
“This shows the frustration of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister as they have failed to address the issues of the common people and are constantly trying to divert attention,” he said.
The party has accused the government of targeting opposition leaders through investigative agencies in an attempt to suppress dissent ahead of the upcoming elections.
