Pannun backs Bajwa’s statement, AAP questions Congress’s stance on Ambedkar
Jalandhar: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Punjab spokesperson Pawan Kumar Tinu has questioned the Congress over Khalistani sympathizer Gurpatwant Singh Pannun’s support for a recent statement made by senior Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa.
Tinu pointed out that Pannun, who had earlier issued threats to destroy statues of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and made derogatory remarks against him, is now backing Bajwa’s claim that 50 grenades have entered Punjab. This, Tinu said, raises serious concerns and demanded that the Congress Party clarify its position.
He accused the Congress of consistently opposing Dr. Ambedkar, saying that during Ambedkar’s lifetime, Congress leaders had shown a similar attitude, and the trend continues today.
Tinu asked whether the Congress aligns itself with Baba Saheb Ambedkar or with Pannun, who he said continues to insult the architect of the Indian Constitution.
“If the Congress claims to stand with Ambedkar, its top leaders must question Partap Bajwa and take action against him,” Tinu said.
