Punjab government to hold first-ever virtual NRI meeting to address diaspora issues

Chandigarh: In a first for India, the Punjab Government’s Department of NRI Affairs is set to host an “Online NRI Milani” aimed at addressing the concerns of Punjabis settled abroad. The virtual meeting is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on Monday.

The initiative, described as a historic step, will offer a direct platform for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) to engage with the Punjab government and seek redressal for their grievances.

NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal shared the details, urging the Punjabi diaspora to participate and share their issues.

“Punjabis living abroad can WhatsApp their complaints in advance to 9056009884 so they can be addressed during the meeting,” Dhaliwal said.
