Cabinet Minister Aman Arora gifts Rs. 12.09 crore infra projects to Longowal

Sangrur News: Fulfilling the long-standing demands of the people of Longowal town in Sunam assembly constituency, the Punjab government has gifted the development works worth Rs 12.09 crore. The foundation stone of the development works to be carried out with this amount was laid today by Cabinet Minister Shri Aman Arora.

Under these projects, Aman Arora laid the foundation stone for a new building of a 30-bed Community Health Center in Longowal, which will be constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 11 crore. The Minister also inaugurated the construction of a park in Longowal town at a cost of Rs 38.23 lakh and road construction work at a cost of Rs 79.86 lakh.

Speaking to the media, Minister Arora said that while the entire state is witnessing rapid development, the Sunam constituency will not lag behind. He stated that the new hospital building will fulfill a long-standing demand of the people in the area. The Minister assured that the hospital and other development projects will be completed within the next one and a half years, benefiting the local residents.

Regarding the shortage of doctors and staff in government hospitals, Minister Arora said that the previous governments had neglected the healthcare sector, but Mann government is working to address this issue by constructing new hospitals and recruiting doctors and paramedical staff on a large scale.

On the issue of water, Minister Arora clarified that Punjab does not have any extra water to spare for other states. He emphasized that the Punjab police will not be withdrawn from the Bhakhra Dam until the state’s water rights are secured. He appealed to the opposition parties to support the state government on this issue and also urged BJP leader Sunil Jakhar to strongly represent Punjab’s interests before the Central Government.
