India denies backchannel talks before ceasefire with Pakistan, says ‘Operation Sindoor’ still underway

New Delhi: India on Sunday said that no interaction took place between the National Security Advisors or foreign ministers of India and Pakistan ahead of the recent ceasefire, and that the agreement was solely the result of discussions between the Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both countries.
Quoting sources, ANI reported that ‘Operation Sindoor’ is still ongoing.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the only issue left to be resolved now is the return of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). He added that India is open to dialogue if Pakistan agrees to discuss the handover of terrorists.
Sources also said that India has conveyed a firm message that it does not require any third-party mediation in its matters with Pakistan.
