FIR against CPI(M)’s Sudhakaran over postal ballot breach remarks

Punjab E News: A case under various provisions of the Representation of People (RP) Act and the IPC was on Friday registered against CPI(M) veteran G Sudhakaran in connection with his recent remarks claiming that postal ballots were opened during the 1989 Alappuzha Lok Sabha election.

The party’s state secretary M V Govindan, at a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) in the evening, also said that CPI(M) was and never will be part of any activities that disrupt the democratic systems in the country.
