Neel Garg’s Rebuttal to Opposition: AAP Government Committed to Transparency and Justice, Zero Tolerance Against Corruption

Punjab News: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Senior Spokesperson Neel Garg expressed his dismay at the depths to which opposition parties have stooped, politicizing even the government’s achievements in cracking down on corruption.
Responding to the statements of LoP Partap Singh Bajwa and Akali leader Bikram Majithia, Neel Garg said, “I am astonished that senior leaders of opposition parties have brought politics to such a low level. Instead of appreciating the government’s swift action in exposing and addressing the driving license scam, they are seeking political motives where none exist.”
He highlighted the unprecedented action taken by the Bhagwant Mann-led government in suspending high-ranking officials immediately after the driving license scam came to light. “This is the first time in Punjab’s history that such decisive and fearless steps have been taken without succumbing to pressure or influence. Unlike past regimes that shielded corruption, our government has demonstrated zero tolerance,” he added.
Neel Garg said that any officer found innocent during the police investigation would be reinstated, emphasizing the government’s commitment to fairness and transparency. “The Mann government operates on a clear principle—be it drugs or corruption, justice will prevail, regardless of the individual’s status or position,” he stated.
He questioned opposition leader Bajwa’s silence over the issue of 32 bombs entering Punjab. “Mr. Bajwa, you haven’t provided any evidence to support your last big statement. Before accusing others, perhaps you should first clarify your own intentions.”
Neel Garg further called out SAD leader Bikram Majithia, advising him to address the issues within his own house before leveling allegations.
“The law is clear: those named prima facie are investigated, arrests are made, and the guilty are punished. This is how justice works. What aspect of this is political? Punjab Police is diligently working against drugs and corruption,” said Garg.
The AAP spokesperson also pointed out that opposition parties never showed the courage to act against corruption during their regimes. “When something came to the notice of the AAP government, we took immediate and strong action, even against top officials. This is the difference between our government and theirs,” he concluded.
