Four killed, 20 injured in bomb blast near market in Balochistan’s Qila Abdullah

Karachi: At least four people were killed and 20 others injured in a bomb blast near Jabbar Market in Pakistan’s Balochistan province on Sunday, police said. The explosion occurred in the Qila Abdullah district, causing extensive damage to buildings and sparking panic in the area.
According to local media reports, several shops collapsed and multiple establishments caught fire following the blast. Qila Abdullah Deputy Commissioner Riaz Khan confirmed the casualties and said the market’s Frontier Corps (FC) post was located behind the affected area. A gunfight reportedly broke out between unidentified assailants and FC personnel after the blast.
Law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and launched a large-scale search and clearance operation. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
The injured included a security guard of tribal elder Haji Faizullah Khan Gabizai and several passersby. The incident comes just days after four Levies personnel were killed in a gun attack by unidentified armed men at a check post in the Nal area of Khuzdar district.
