CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke announces ‘Jantar Mantar Season 2’ protest

New Delhi: Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Wednesday announced plans to launch another protest movement, describing it as “Jantar Mantar Season 2”, modelled on the recent student agitation.

Dipke alleged that his organisation faced difficulties in arranging a venue for a meeting of its volunteers in Delhi. He claimed that several venue owners refused to rent out a hall, citing “pressure from above”.

“Behind all this is the BJP,” Dipke alleged, while asserting that such pressure would not stop the organisation from continuing its campaign.

37-day protest over NEET paper leak

The CJP had earlier staged a 37-day protest at Jantar Mantar over the alleged NEET paper leak issue. According to the source material, the protest ended on July 25 after demands were accepted and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was asked to resign.

The party has now announced plans for another campaign focused on education and other public issues.

CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das said the organisation would also launch a nationwide “Listening Tour” to hear directly from people.

He said the party would begin prioritising education-related issues from Independence Day, as part of its upcoming campaign.
