New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday met chief executive officers of leading Indian space startups on the occasion of National Space Day, praising young entrepreneurs for their innovation and enthusiasm.
During the interaction, Modi encouraged space startups to focus on applications that can make everyday life easier for ordinary citizens and stressed the need to build an ecosystem that attracts professionals from across the world to pursue careers in India’s space sector.
Focus on policy continuity and global talent
The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of continuity in government policies and said growing confidence among startups in government decisions was a significant achievement.
He said India should aim for a situation where every major breakthrough in the space sector draws global attention to Indian startups.
Modi also pointed to the return of Indian space professionals from abroad, describing the trend as an encouraging sign for the country’s space ambitions.
He expressed confidence that Indian startups could become a magnet for talent from across the world and help strengthen India’s position in the global space industry.
