Punjab government transfers three IAS officers

Chandigarh: The Punjab government on Friday transferred three IAS officers as part of an administrative reshuffle.

Abhijit Kaplish, currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA), has been given the additional charge of Director, Sports and Youth Services Department.

IAS officer Rishi Pal, who was serving as Registrar of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has been appointed Member Secretary of the Punjab State Commission for Women.

In another change, Sukhjit Pal Singh has been appointed Registrar of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana.

The latest reshuffle comes a month after the state government transferred four IAS officers on August 11.

Under those orders, 2004-batch IAS officer Varun Roojam, then Administrative Secretary, Transport, was retained in the post and given additional charge as Administrative Secretary, Sports and Youth Services.

2014-batch IAS officer Sakshi Sawhney was appointed Special Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, with additional charge as Mission Director, National Health Mission, Punjab, and Nodal Officer for the anti-drug campaign. She was also given additional charge of Director, Sports and Youth Services, owing to the vacant post.
