Congress Cannot Run Away From Questions On 1984 Sikh Massacre, Sachin Pilot Must Answer Punjab: Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal

Sachin Pilot Must Explain Congress’ Stand On Sajjan Kumar And Kamal Nath Before Seeking Political Space In Punjab: Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal

Chandigarh News (Pawan Dhupar): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Chief Spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the Congress over its refusal to answer questions on the 1984 Sikh massacre, saying that Congress leader Sachin Pilot cannot evade questions about Sajjan Kumar and Kamal Nath after coming to Punjab.

Reacting to the Congress rally in Chandigarh, AAP Punjab Chief Spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that when Sachin Pilot was asked about Sajjan Kumar and Kamal Nath in connection with the killings of Sikhs, Sachin Pilot ran away from giving an answer. “Sachin Pilot, you cannot run away from these questions. You will have to answer these questions,” he said.

The AAP Punjab Chief Punjab Spokesperson said the Congress would have to answer Punjab and Punjabis for the killings of thousands of Punjabis and Sikhs. “The bloody hand of Congress killed thousands of Punjabis and Sikhs. That is why we will ask you these questions at every turn in Punjab, and you will have to answer. The media will ask, and the people will also ask,” he said.

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said Congress could never be forgiven for what happened to Sikhs. He said that Congress leaders could not simply turn their faces away from the issue and expect the matter to disappear. “These wounds of ours are still fresh. When you come here and sprinkle salt on our wounds, you will have to answer for it,” he said.

Taking potshots at the Congress leadership, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that the party was claiming that everyone had come together and that its leaders had gathered in strength. He said Congress leaders should also remember that several Chief Ministers sitting around them would not change the questions that Punjab continues to ask.

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said, “The Congress’ boat will sink here too, but remember, Punjabis and Sikhs will always ask you these questions and will continue to ask.”

He said that the Congress must give a clear answer about the Congress leaders whom he said were responsible for the killings of Sikhs in Delhi. “Whether it is Sajjan Kumar or Kamal Nath, you will have to answer about those who were responsible for the killings of Sikhs in Delhi,” said Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal.

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal further said that Congress could not expect any meaningful political conversation without first answering these questions. “Give the answer, and only then will the conversation move forward. Otherwise, it will not move forward,” he said.

Addressing Sachin Pilot directly, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said, “You have come to Punjab. Punjab is asking you for an answer. First answer about those Congress leaders who were responsible for the massacre in Delhi.”

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal reiterated that the Congress could not avoid the issue by looking away or refusing to respond. “Congress committed a very big massacre of Sikhs. Sachin Pilot ji, give an answer. Punjab is demanding an answer from you,” he said.

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said the wounds of the Sikh community remained fresh and that Punjab would continue to demand answers from Congress on the issue.
