Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann congratulated the Indian women’s kabaddi team after it won the gold medal at the Asian Games 2026.
The Indian team defeated Iran 37-34 in the final to clinch the gold medal.
In a social media post, Mann congratulated the players for their performance and said the achievement had made the country proud.
He said the victory would serve as an inspiration for youngsters and sportspersons. Mann added that the Indian players had brought glory to the country at the international level through their hard work, dedication and sporting talent.
The Chief Minister also extended his best wishes to the players for their future.
