4 youths killed, 2 seriously injured as car rams into truck parked on roadside in Rajpura

Chandigarh: Four youths were killed and two others injured when their car rammed into a stationary truck on the Rajpura-Ludhiana national highway, police said on Thursday.

According to the information received, all the people in CH-01Y-7179 Honda City had gone to Rajpura Haveli Sarai Banjara Sirhind Road last night for the birthday party of their friend Gurwinder Singh.
All of them were returning to Rajpura in a car at around 11.30 pm after celebrating the birth party, when the car reached Radha Soami Satsang Dera Sirhind Road nearby, the truck RH-46-C-7779 was standing on the road on the overbridge without an indicator and the car hit it.
While Kamaljit Singh, Ravinder Singh, Gurjinder Singh and Gurwinder Singh died on the spot, Avinash Singh and Nanak Singh sustained serious injuries and were referred to Chandigarh. Police have registered a case against the truck driver.
