New Delhi: Leaders and supporters of opposition parties under the INDIA bloc gathered at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan on Sunday for a protest march against alleged electoral irregularities and to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

The leaders later left for Minto Road in an open bus to march towards Ramlila Maidan, where the protest was being held.
The gathering grew through the afternoon as party workers, supporters and members of youth and student organisations from various INDIA bloc constituents arrived at the venue.
Carrying placards, protesters raised slogans against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise and demanded Kumar’s resignation.
Political parties had mobilised their cadres from different states for the demonstration. While some supporters reached Delhi on Sunday morning, several others had arrived on Saturday or earlier to participate in the protest.
