Punjab Governor approves Punjab Vidhan Sabha session after govt approaches Supreme Court

Chandigarh: The Punjab Governor has approved the Punjab Budget Session. Now Punjab’s budget session will be held on March 3, this has been informed by the governor’s lawyer in the Supreme Court, which is yet to be officially confirmed.

The Punjab government had gone to the Supreme Court against the Governor, which is being heard today.
In this hearing, the Chief Justice of India said that the government is bound to inform the Governor and the Governor cannot refuse to convene the session.
The Chief Justice has also questioned the language of the Chief Minister. “The Constitution does not say that such language should be used.”
