Punjab govt clears pending subsidy amount of PSPCL

SAS Nagar:  Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), got financial assistance from the Punjab Government. An amount of Rs 18,691 crore has been paid to PSPSL by the government till March 15.

The Bhagwant Singh Mann-led government has also set an example by settling the huge outstanding amount in one go. PSPCL was facing a financial crisis due to outstanding subsidies of over Several crore rupees. During the month of February, subsidy of Rs 4100 crore has been paid and in March so far Rs 1500 crore has been given.
