New Delhi: An analysis of election affidavits by the Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR) has revealed that the current 29 chief ministers of the country are crorepatis.
Of these, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has the highest assets worth Rs 510 crore. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has the lowest assets worth Rs 15 lakh, while Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal have assets worth over Rs 1 crore.
According to the report, 13 of them have given serious criminal cases in their affidavits, including cases of murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping.
Among the chief ministers, Andhra Pradesh chief minister has assets worth Rs 510 crore, Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu Rs 163 crore and Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik rs 63 crore. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal have assets worth over Rs 3 crore.
