Mansa: Family didn’t come to receive the body of sacrilege accused
Mansa News: After the death of Jasvir Singh, who had committed sacrilege at the historic Gurdwara Kotwali Sahib in Morinda late last night at the Civil Hospital here, no family members or relatives have reached the Civil Hospital till this afternoon to receive his body.
However, his body has been kept in the mortuary here for the night by the hospital management. It is also learnt that his post mortem will be conducted at Patiala by a panel of three doctors.
Prior to his death, he had informed the authorities about stomach pain and chest pain in Mansa jail, who after giving first aid, he was admitted to the Civil Hospital in Mansa, but the condition worsened instead of coming under control.
He later died at around 9.30 pm by doctors. Meanwhile, the police officer said that the family has not yet coordinated with the police to retrieve the body.
The exact cause of death will be known after the post-mortem report is out. Local Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) leader Raghveer Singh has demanded an inquiry into jasvir Singh’s death. He said that the police should also make public the investigation into the sacrilege done by him so that the people can know the reality.
