Local leaders of Jalandhar fed up with traditional parties are joining ‘AAP’

“Give us one chance Jalandhar people! We will show what a Lok Sabha member can do”- Chief Minister Mann

Jalandhar: As the Jalandhar by-elections are approaching, the popularity of the AAP party is increasing day by day. It is becoming a matter of concern for the opposition and unnerving their leaders. Meanwhile, impressed by the pro-people policies of the Mann government, the businessmen, leaders, panch-sarpanches and common people of Jalandhar are becoming part of the AAP and today in the presence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku many leaders joined the party. To welcome them to the party, AAP leader Jagbir Brar, Bibi Rajwinder Kaur Thiara and Punjab Agro Export Chairman Mangal Singh and others were present there.


Daljit Singh Ahluwalia, the successful businessman and the managing director of Ahluwalia Furniture and Decorates, was prominent among those who joined the party on this occasion. Ahluwalia has been a successful businessman as well as an active Congress leader.

Apart from this, many families from Deep Nagar (Jalandhar Cantt) joined the Aam Aadmi Party family. Surinder Singh Minhas (Former Sarpanch and Vice President of Shiromani Akali Dal from Jalandhar Rural), Mr. Swaran Chand (Former Sarpanch), Vinod Sahota, Dheeraj Khanna, Baljit Singh Jaggi, Subedar Darshan Singh, Sher Singh Parhar, Bhula Singh Balbir Singh. Bira, Sukhdev Raj, Sucha Ram, Ajay Piwal, Ranjit Singh Gill, Pastor Roshni Virdi etc. were the leaders who joined AAP.

Malkit Singh, the Sarpanch of Subhana village here, who was a member of the Shiromani Akali Dal and has been representing the village for the last 10 years, and Gurdeep Singh Subhana and his family have joined the party. Panch Sukhwinder Singh, Bunty Khalra, Saurav Mahe, Manoj Mahe and other people of village Phooliwal also became part of Aam Aadmi Party today.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann welcomed the new members in the party and said that the people of Jalandhar, influenced by the pro-people policies of the AAP government, have made up their minds to make the party candidate Shushil Rinku victorious and soon his voice will echo in Parliament. He said that if the people of Jalandhar give us a chance, we will show what a Lok Sabha member can do for the development of constituency.
