CM Mann boycotts NITI Aayog meeting over denial of rural funds
Punjab E News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has boycotted the NITI Aayog meeting to be held in Delhi on May 27 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mann said that the central government was obstructing many public welfare schemes of Punjab. Be it the amount of RDF or the reduction in crop prices, Punjab is constantly being harmed.
Apart from CM Bhagwant Mann, AAP convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal will also not be part of this meeting of NITI Aayog. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi holds this meeting of NITI Aayog with the CMs of all the states of the country. However, it is not yet clear whether anyone else from the state government will attend this meeting of the NITI Aayog in the absence of CM Bhagwant Mann.
Significantly, CM Bhagwant Mann and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal are trying to form a united front of opposition parties against the central government. For this, he has met West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai and NCP leader Sharad Pawar and sought support.
CM Mann and Arvind Kejriwal are constantly seeking support from opposition parties of various states to oppose the central government’s ordinance and to bring down the bill to be introduced in the Rajya Sabha.
