Former CM Charanjit Channi hits back at CM Mann, denies corruption allegations
Chandigarh: Former Chief Minister Charanjit Channi hit back at CM Bhagwant Mann for levelling corruption allegations against him and his nephew. During his press conference, former CM Charanjit Singh Channi said, “CM Bhagwant has been mentally torturing me and my family since the formation of the government and has gone on to defame and humiliate me.”
Responding to the allegations levelled by Mann, Channi had termed all the allegations levelled against him as baseless. Channi said that all the allegations of bribery and corruption levelled against him are false, his nephew has also not done anything like this, as is being told to the people.
Channi says his nephew did not do any such thing. “If there is any complaint against us, file a case. “I have not taken a single rupee bribe from anyone till date. I am not going to be intimidated by such false allegations nor am I going to run away,” he said.
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had issued an open warning to former Congress chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi. Cm Mann tweeted and asked Charanjit Singh Channi to make public the information about his nephew demanding money from the player. Otherwise, CM Bhagwant Mann himself will share the complete information in front of Punjab.
