Canada temporarily suspends deportation of 700 students: MP Sahni
Punjab E News: The Canadian government has decided to temporarily ban the return of 700 Indian students on the request of AAP MP Vikramjit Singh Sahni. Earlier, Punjab Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that the Canadian government has banned the return of Punjabi student Lovepreet Singh.
It is worth mentioning that Sahni is also the International President of the World Punjabi Organization.
He said that on the request of the Indian High Commission and on his (Sahni’s) request, the Canadian government has temporarily banned the return of 700 students to India.
“It has been brought to the notice of the Canadian government that these students have not committed any fraud. These students have been duped by unauthorised immigration agents and fake letters have been issued regarding admissions in educational institutions. A committee will also be formed to look into the matter,” he said.
