*‘AAP’ grows stronger in Tarn Taran; major setback for opposition parties

Several families quit Congress and BJP to join AAP, term Harmeet Sandhu’s victory certain

Tarn Taran Election News: On the final day of campaigning for the Tarn Taran Assembly by-election, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) received a major boost as several families from Congress and BJP joined the party. AAP Working President Amansher Singh Shery Kalsi, Chairman Dr. S.S. Ahluwalia, and Chairman Harchand Singh Barsat warmly welcomed these families into the party fold.

On this occasion, under the leadership of Jeevan Masih, several families joined AAP, including Kulwant Singh son of Mangal Singh, Ranjit Kaur, and Lovjeet Kaur from village Pandori Ramana; Panchayat member Sukhdev Singh along with Baljinder Kaur, Harmeet Singh, Raj Kaur, Jaspal Singh, Ram Kirpal, Jagroop Singh, Rajinder Singh, Harpreet Singh, Armaan Singh, Yaruna Masih, Pargat Singh, Jaimal, Preeti, Ranjoat, Lovjeet Singh, Kulwinder Kaur, Amrit Kaur, Kanwaljeet, Kulwinder, Lakhwinder, Karandeep Singh, Balbir Singh, Dharam Singh, Gurlal Singh, Manpreet, Mehak, Neelam, Rajbir, Raji, and Bakhshish, among others, from village Bala Chak, who all joined the Aam Aadmi Party along with their supporters.

Amansher Singh Sherry Kalsi said that during the election campaign, new families and prominent citizens are joining AAP every day, which proves that people are tired of the caste and religion-based politics of traditional parties and are now preferring politics of performance and progress. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party is the only political force that seeks votes on the basis of its work and achievements.

Chairman Dr. S.S. Ahluwalia appealed to the people of Tarn Taran to vote in large numbers on November 11 and ensure the victory of Harmeet Singh Sandhu so that development in the constituency can accelerate further. He said that having an MLA aligned with the government ensures faster implementation of development works.

Chairman Harchand Singh Barsat launched a sharp attack on Congress and BJP, saying that both these parties have always acted against the interests of Punjab. He said that the BJP-led central government has withheld Punjab’s funds and even in difficult times, has failed to help the state. He asserted that the results to be announced on November 13 will clear all misconceptions of the opposition parties once and for all.
