Brampton (Ontario): Peel Regional Police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for a second suspect in connection with a fatal shooting at a Brampton home six months ago.
Police identified the accused as Manpreet Singh, 29. Another suspect, Dilpreet Singh, has already been arrested in the case.
Incident details
According to police, the incident occurred on August 19 last year when two unidentified individuals entered a residence in the Castlemore and Humberwest area of Brampton and opened fire on two people before fleeing the scene.
One victim survived after receiving immediate medical attention, while the other succumbed to injuries.
Investigators said CCTV footage helped identify both suspects.
Charges and manhunt
In October, Dilpreet Singh was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Police are continuing efforts to locate Manpreet Singh and have issued a nationwide warrant for his arrest.
Authorities have appealed to the public for information that could help in tracking down the accused.
