The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared glimpses from the laying of foundation stone and inauguration of various development works worth more than Rs.18,000 crore in Kolkata, West Bengal. Addressing the gathering the Prime Minister remarked that a new chapter of development is being written for West Bengal and Eastern India.
In a series of posts on X, Shri Modi said:
“देशभर में रेलवे को आधुनिक बनाने के हमारे अभियान में पश्चिम बंगाल पीछे न रहे, इसलिए हम यहां भी रेलवे इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर का तेजी से विस्तार कर रहे हैं। छह अमृत भारत स्टेशनों के उद्घाटन और पुरुलिया-आनंद विहार टर्मिनल के बीच नई एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन का शुभारंभ भी इसी दिशा में अहम कदम हैं।”
