Rohtak: The police crackdown on flesh trade in Rohtak continued with the arrest of a youth and the rescue of five girls from a hotel near the new bus stand, officials said on Sunday.

ASP YVR Shashi Shekhar said that after receiving a tip-off about prostitution being run from the hotel, a team led by DSP Gulab Singh was sent to the spot. The police rushed to the hotel and took action.

He said the police had sent a fake customer to the hotel to confirm the information. Later, a team from the Urban Estate police station and Mahila police station raided the premises. During the raid, a young man who had taken the hotel on rent was arrested.

Five women were rescued from the hotel, who were allegedly being forced into the flesh trade by the accused, the police said. Further investigation is underway.
