New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old schoolgirl allegedly jumped from the terrace of her school building in Jalna district, Maharashtra, on Saturday morning. The incident occurred between 7:30 am and 8:00 am, causing panic among students, staff and local residents.
According to Sadar police station inspector Sandeep Bharti, the police received information around 8 am about the girl, a Class 7 student, who had allegedly jumped from the top floor of the school.
A police team immediately reached the spot and began a preliminary investigation. The girl was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared her brought dead.
Inspector Bharti said a preliminary investigation is underway and multiple aspects of the case are being examined. “It is too early to reach any conclusions. Only after a thorough investigation can anything concrete be determined,” he added.
The police have urged anyone with information related to the incident to come forward as the investigation continues.
