British Columbia: Police in British Columbia have identified the man killed in a gang-related shooting in Langley four days ago as 24-year-old Kanan Pandher.
Pandher was sitting in a taxi near 200 Street and 53rd Avenue when he was shot. Police spokesperson Corporal Sukhi Dhesi said preliminary investigation revealed that Pandher had some criminal cases registered against him.
“Though the investigation is yet to be completed, as per the evidence available so far, the reason for the murder is a rivalry between two criminal gangs and the general public need not be scared of such an incident,” Dhesi said.
Police said that when officers arrived at the scene after receiving reports of gunfire, they found Pandher lying in a pool of blood. Paramedics tried to revive him, but he later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
