Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab has expelled former Ropar MLA Amarjit Singh Sandoa from the party with immediate effect, citing anti-party activities as the reason for the action.
A letter regarding the expulsion was issued under the signature of AAP state general secretary Harchand Singh Burst, according to party sources.
The move comes days after Sandoa publicly criticised his own party’s government during a dharna at Nangal Abyana village in Noorpur Bedi.
Addressing the gathering, Sandoa had said that the government was sitting in Chandigarh and was disconnected from the concerns of the people. “I am with my people. I have nothing to do with the government and the party,” he had said.
