Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Manjinder Singh Lalpura has been granted major relief by the Punjab and Haryana High Court, which set aside his conviction in a 2013 case and acquitted him along with other accused.
The High Court quashed the 2013 FIR and overturned the 2025 conviction order after noting that the parties involved had reached a settlement.
Lalpura was among those convicted earlier in the case. However, the court allowed the plea and cleared all accused, citing the compromise between the parties as the basis for its decision.
