AAP targets Congress over Navjot Kaur Sidhu’s claims, twists Channi’s campaign slogan

CHANDIGARH: The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday took a swipe at the Congress after Navjot Kaur Sidhu levelled allegations involving ₹500 crore, triggering a political storm in Punjab.

In a new social media post, AAP used former chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi’s well-known 2022 campaign line “Ghar ghar challi gall, Channi karda masle hall” to attack the opposition party. The party reworked the slogan to read “Ghar ghar challi navi gall, Congress crore ch kare tickets da hall,” suggesting that the Congress is now facing fresh controversies linked to financial dealings.

The post featured images of senior Congress leaders and appeared aimed at amplifying the remarks made by Navjot Kaur Sidhu, who recently accused sections of the party of mishandling funds.

Her comments have already triggered reactions within Congress ranks, with leaders seeking clarification and legal notices being exchanged.
