Chandigarh: The Shiromani Akali Dal has appointed a new party spokesperson, with the leader expressing gratitude to the party leadership for the responsibility.
In a statement, the newly appointed spokesperson said he was nominated by party president Sukhbir Singh Badal and thanked the senior leadership for their trust. He also expressed appreciation to senior Akali leaders including Bikram Singh Majithia, Gurcharan Singh Grewal, Daljit Singh Cheema and chief spokesperson Arshdeep Singh Kler.
The leader also thanked party workers and local leaders for their continued support and encouragement.
He said he would work to communicate the achievements of previous Shiromani Akali Dal governments to the public through the media. At the same time, he added that the party would highlight what it described as the “reality” of the current Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab.
The spokesperson assured the party leadership that he would fulfil the responsibility with dedication and work to strengthen the party’s outreach among people.
