Chandigarh: Amid ongoing tensions with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Rajya Sabha Member Raghav Chadha shared an intriguing post on social media on Monday, featuring the book The 48 Laws of Power by American author Robert Greene. The post highlights a specific message from the book: “Never Outshine the Master” — a directive to not surpass one’s superiors.
In the post, Chadha is seen reading the book in his garden, with a zoomed-in image of a passage that states: “Always make those above you feel comfortably superior. And if you make them feel that you are trying to influence or please them, you will be rewarded.”
This cryptic post is being seen as a subtle hint that Chadha may have tried to outshine his boss, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, and is now facing the consequences of his actions.
It is important to note that last week, Chadha was removed from his position as Deputy Leader of the AAP in the Rajya Sabha. The party leadership accused him of using parliamentary time for personal promotion and not attacking the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as expected. Chadha has denied all the allegations and, through his latest post, seems to suggest that he might be paying the price for trying to rise above his superior, Kejriwal.
The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene is a widely-read book that explores strategies for gaining, maintaining, and protecting power, drawing on historical examples to highlight the lessons.
