New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday launched the Fast Track Immigration–Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) at five more airports in the country. The initiative aims to speed up the immigration process for pre-verified Indian citizens and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders.
The new airports added under the scheme are Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Tiruchirappalli, Kozhikode and Amritsar. Shah said passengers will now be able to obtain immigration clearance in just 30 seconds without standing in long queues or undergoing manual checks.
The programme was first introduced in July 2024 at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Two months later, it was extended to seven more airports — Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Cochin and Ahmedabad. With the latest addition, the facility is now available at 13 airports across the country.
