Chandigarh: Arvind Kejriwal, national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will visit Gujarat for two days beginning February 21.
During the visit, both leaders are scheduled to participate in various party programmes. A key press conference will also be held in Ahmedabad focusing on the proposed India-US trade agreement.
The Aam Aadmi Party has termed the proposed trade deal between India and the United States as harmful to farmers. Party leaders have alleged that the agreement could adversely impact Punjab’s agricultural sector and encourage privatisation in the country.
Kejriwal and Mann are expected to raise issues concerning farmers’ rights from Gujarat and outline the party’s stand on the trade pact during their engagements.
