New Delhi: Indian badminton players Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap have decided to part ways with mutual consent, the couple announced on social media.
“Sometimes life takes us on different paths. After deep thought and mutual consent, Parupalli Kashyap and I have decided to separate,” Saina wrote on her official Instagram handle. She added that they are choosing “peace, self-development and positivity” for each other.
“I am grateful for the moments spent together and wish him all the best for his future. Thank you all for respecting our privacy at this time,” she said.
The two had been among India’s leading badminton players and often supported each other during tournaments.
