Badshah booked over controversial Haryanvi song ‘Tattihari’, Haryana Women’s Commission issues notice

Chandigarh: Bollywood singer and rapper Badshah has landed in controversy over his new Haryanvi song “Tattihari”.

A case has been registered at the cyber police station in Sector 20, Panchkula following a complaint filed by Abhay Chaudhary, a resident of Chandimandir. The complaint alleges that the lyrics and visuals of the song contain objectionable and obscene content.

According to the complaint, the song is rapidly going viral on social media, but certain words and scenes used in the video are considered inappropriate and insulting towards women. The complainant also objected to the portrayal of girls in school uniforms in the music video, claiming it could negatively influence children and young audiences.

Taking note of the issue, the Haryana State Commission for Women has also issued a notice to the singer over the alleged objectionable language used in the song. The commission has summoned Badshah, and the hearing in the matter is scheduled for March 13 in Panipat.

Police have registered the case under relevant sections related to obscenity and the alleged inappropriate depiction of women. The investigation has been assigned to Sub-Inspector Desraj.
