Jalandhar: Senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia was accorded a warm reception on his arrival in Jalandhar on Monday, with party leaders and local representatives gathering in large numbers at PAP Chowk and Lamba Pind Chowk.
Led by senior Akali leader Sukhminder Singh Rajpal, party workers, along with members of temple and gurdwara committees, welcomed Majithia with flower garlands. He was also honoured with a siropa and a ceremonial kirpan as a mark of respect.
Several local leaders and supporters were present on the occasion, highlighting continued support for the former minister following his recent release from jail.
