Ludhiana: The Bharatiya Janata Party has begun groundwork for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections, organising a Purvanchal Samman Rally in the Gyaspura area of Ludhiana on Sunday.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is scheduled to attend the rally as the chief guest. Senior Punjab BJP leaders, including Sunil Jakhar and Ashwani Sharma, are also expected to share the stage.
The event is being held near Eastman Chowk at Rudra Enclave (Chhath Puja site). District BJP president Rajnish Dhiman and leader Rajesh Mishra reviewed the arrangements and said preparations for the mega rally have been completed.
Party leaders said the rally aims to honour members of the Purvanchal community and energise party workers ahead of the 2027 Assembly polls. They expressed confidence that the outreach programme would strengthen the BJP’s support base in the region.
