Ludhiana: Amit Kumar, brother of Youth Congress leader Anuj Kumar, was shot dead by three unidentified assailants in Sahnewal late on Monday night.
The incident took place at a liquor premises near Nandpur village, where Amit was sitting at the shop. Three men arrived on a motorcycle, opened fire at him and fled the scene.
Locals, who heard the gunshots, rushed Amit to SPS Hospital before police arrived. Doctors declared him brought dead.
Police have launched an investigation into the case.
