Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will attend the Aam Aadmi Party’s mega rally at village Killi Chahal in Moga on Monday, days after being admitted to hospital due to health concerns.
Mann was admitted to Fortis Hospital Mohali on Monday after his health deteriorated. There were earlier doubts about his participation in the rally, with reports suggesting that Arvind Kejriwal and Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema would lead the event.
However, after being discharged, Mann clarified through a social media post that he would personally address the gathering.
The rally is being seen as a key event in the state government’s ongoing campaign against drugs. The party expects more than 50,000 people to attend. MLAs and constituency in-charges have been mobilised to ensure maximum participation and make the event a success.
