COMMISSIONERATE POLICE JALANDHAR CONTINUOUS DRIVE AGAINST DRUGS – 8 HELD IN 7 NDPS CASES

Jalandhar News (Pawan Dhupar): As part of its ongoing campaign against drugs, the Commissionerate Police Jalandhar has intensified strict action to protect the younger generation from the menace of drug addiction. During this drive, the police registered 7 FIRs under the NDPS Act and arrested 8 accused persons.

Giving details, Commissioner of Police Jalandhar, Smt. Dhanpreet Kaur, said that police teams are continuously tightening the noose around drug smugglers and
Peddlers. Various police teams conducted raids at different locations and apprehended 8 individuals.

From the possession of the arrested accused, the police recovered 25.62 grams of heroin and 130 intoxicant tablets. Based on these recoveries, 7 separate NDPS FIRs were registered.

Commissioner of Police, Smt. Dhanpreet Kaur, further said that the police are identifying more drug smugglers and strict action will be taken against them. She emphasized that public cooperation is crucial in this fight against drugs.
