Jalandhar News: Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has successfully recovered 30 lost and missing mobile phones with the assistance of the CEIR portal.
The recovery was carried out under the guidance of Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, Smt. Dhanpreet Kaur, IPS, along with ADCP (Operations) Sh. Vineet Ahlawat and ACP (Cyber Crime) Smt. Roopdeep Kaur. Through the coordinated efforts of the IT Staff of Commissionerate Police Jalandhar, advanced digital tracking methods and technical assistance were utilized to trace the IMEI numbers of the lost devices. After due verification, the recovered 30 mobile phones different brands were handed over to their rightful owners.
The CEIR portal, an initiative of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India, enables the blocking of lost or stolen mobile phones, preventing their misuse and facilitating recovery through IMEI-based tracking across all telecom networks.
Commissionerate Police Jalandhar urges citizens to promptly report their lost or stolen mobile phones on the CEIR portal (https://ceir.gov.in) for timely assistance and recovery.
